15 Minutes to Casual Glamour

Finally Friday!

Today was a wonderful lazy day.
For me this week has been nothing but
taxi mom week. With all the rain I have been picking
up all the kids and taking to drivers ed class. The odd thing
is that they have been coming over and hanging out until it was time
for their parents to get home.
I have no complaints as all the kids are good kids.
I just need a break today.

Then Oops all of a sudden Jack texts me about where to
go eat at tonight?
Holy Bat Balls!
I forgot we had a date tonight and I only have 15 min.
to get ready!
Ugh!!

So this  is my 15 min look.....

I went with my black maxi, added a scarf for some color.
Was going to go with espadrilles but decided my flat cork bottoms
looked better as this maxi hits right at my ankles. Perfect for flats.

I wore my favorite silver bracelets and drop earrings that match with
burgundy stones.  Decided to go with a slick ponytail so I could spend
a little time with make-up.

I went neutral with makeup though. Just base, eyeliner and mascara. Touch of
blush, eyebrow pencil and some shiny sheer gloss. Didn't
want to go to overboard. Didn't have time but we were going to a local Mexican
restaurant that we love. So too dressy would of been out of place.
This maxi combination was the perfect casual outfit.

A closer yet blurry (sorry) picture of my scarf.

A closer look at my accessories. It is hard to tell but the stone of the ring
is a green, turquoise look depending on the way the light hits it.

So that was my glamour under 15 minutes.
Do you have glamour secrets you use in a hurry?

Fashion Friday ~ Red, White & Blue

Happy Friday!
A link up with the fabulous Blonde Episodes for Fashion Friday.

In honor of yesterday being flag day, I started to
think of what in the world am I going to wear to all
those wonderful 4th of July BBQ's and activities.

Last week I stumbled across the website Polyvore and wow!
I am in love. This is my first grouping so be kind :)
I love all these items and think I will be in the hunt for
an outfit very similar. I know the blue in the YSL shoes does
not match the other blue's I used in the accessories however, they
were too cute not to use and I figured the blue's were far enough away
from one another.

What do you think?

Blog Star link up... 12 things about me

Since I am fairly new around the blog world I thought it would be
fun to introduce myself with this wonderful linkup that Mrs. Monologues
is hosting today.

In 12 pictures...
this is my life!

As a Dr. Pepper addicted Harley riding momma, I am also an avid DIY

arts & crafts guru that is willing to try anything crafty but have yet to master
anything good enough that I would be willing to make into a full time business.

I love to be goofy and joke around with everyone and as a mother of two boys
this ability comes in very handy. Trying to be the best mom I can be yet also
fun while being loving, nurturing but also being the mean rule maker.

In the past six months our family has become very addicted into Martial Arts.
I have taken Yoga classes for awhile now so when Will our youngest son, asked
to start taking Karate classes it didn't take long for  Austin, our oldest son
to decide he wanted to try his hand
in MMA. Needless to say, I followed the boys and started Kickboxing.
I am addicted and enjoy my time that I train and find myself craving to
workout on my off days.

One of our many families activities other than Martial Arts is fishing! Our whole family
loves to go out and spend the day on the lake just for the thrill of the big catch.

Although I can bait my own hook and fish I am defiantly a girly girl at heart!
I love all things with bling!
I love to shop but my weakness is shoes, purses and sunglasses!
After all, those are the main accessories that pulls the whole outfit together.

Cooking is a love that I enjoy and have since I was very young.
I love menu planning and trying new recipes. Last week was my first week to
share my weekly menu with the blog world but am planning to share every Thursday what
I have planned for the next week.

In 2005 I became a gastric bypass patient and have lost over 140lbs and became the healthiest
I had ever been in my life. So that is one reason why I menu plan and make sure I have somewhat healthy
recipes full of fruits and vegetables.

Another goofy picture of me with my husband Jack. After 16 years of marriage. He is still my favorite
cowboy and the love of my life.  This last picture was taken Saturday night
when we attended a gala charity event. Charity and volunteering is something I highly
believe in and feel that if you can and are blessed enough even if it is just time.
It really does make a difference in both the recipient that you are helping and in my own life.

SO that about sums up me...
Have you linked up and told us about yourself?

Fashion Friday

We finally made it to Friday!
What an interesting week.

Today I am linking up with Blonde Episodes for Fashion Friday.
I am sharing with you an outfit that I think will be wonderful for our
summer vacation and a night out for dinner.

For a lunch date or day of shopping I like the idea of the shorts instead of the Capris

I like the look of the flat cork sandals for daytime and then always adding heels for nighttime
as the picture shoes with the white capris.

I just love this outfit and find that every piece can be very versatile in your summertime
wardrobe. Have a Happy Friday!

Sending wishes of super sales and happy shopping!
